(Eve, Debbie Harry, Lisa Marie Presley and Dita Von Teese are the newest spokesmodels for Viva Glam VI)

The MAC AIDS Fund is the heart and soul of MAC Cosmetics. Its purpose is to provide necessities to people surviving with HIV/AIDS. MAC believes since HIV/AIDS has an abundance of money going into research, they want to give to those who are suffering now. The MAC AIDS Fund has raised over 86 million dollars. Programs such as Viva Glam benefit the fund. One hundred percent of the retail selling cost ($14) goes to the MAC AIDS Fund. There are six lipsticks and two Lipglass formulas. Click here to see the collection! What stands out the most about the company is its recognition of how influential our fashion industry is on society. With every launch, MAC selects spokespeople for the collection. The spokespeople are carefully selected and cater to a variety of audiences.
The MAC AIDS Fund is constantly participating in events for HIV/AIDS awareness. February 7, was Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Research shows that the disease is growing among Blacks in the United States. The MAC AIDS Fund sponsored the 2nd Annual It’s All About M.E.E.! (Mobilization, Education & Empowerment) Sistahs Getting Real About HIV conference. The conference is from February 7-11 in California. The National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCNW), National Council of Negro Women and the Black AIDS Institure are its hosts. Read more here.

Wow!! I am so shocked but excited that MAC has raised over $86 million for AIDS. This is a great campaign. MAC is not only making a large donation toward the research of AIDS, but also promoting the sales of its new cosmetics line.
Also, it is great to see that MAC devoted an entire day toward Black HIV/AIDS Awareness. It is
important that people of all races, ages and nationalities realize the dangers of HIV/AIDS.
I hope that people go out and buy these products. This is a great way to make a donation while improving your makeup collection. So head out to Macy's and get yourself a new shade of lipstick.
It is great to see MAC participating in HIV/AIDS Awareness. There are so many other companies these days that are taking part in such a great cause such as Gap, Motorola and most recently Apple Computers. Apple introduced its new RED products to promote AIDS awareness including their red iPod nanos.
I also really like that the representatives for M.A.C. Cosmetics' M.A.C Viva Glam VI campaign such as Christina Aguilera and Eve are passionate about promoting AIDS awareness. M.A.C. is just not using their celebrity faces for publicity, but also using their voices to get the word out to the people. The money they help raise will hopefully save many lives in the future.
No doubt that any major multinational company that puts effort into participating HIV/AIDS Awareness is worth some respect.
On the other hand, what bothers me a little bit is that this seems to be growing "trend". I am affraid that such a serious subject as HIV will simply become another publicity stunt for big corporations or famous people.
But i am not going to lessen the importance of the MAC AIDS Fund for Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Raising over $86 million for AIDS is a blessing any HIV positive person will receive no questions asked.
I congratulate such an effort, and simply wish other major companies will not jump in the "help AIDS trend" without a real concern for the problem.
FYI: MAC does understand there is plenty of money going towards research for the HIV/AIDS. Thats why it continous to support those who are living with the disease.
